The 10-Minute After-Hours Intake Audit

For KC roofers who already have the reviews, the trucks, and the crew. Find out what's leaking after 5pm.

If you finish this in 10 minutes, you'll know exactly how many leads your shop loses after 5pm. You won't need me to tell you. The math will.

I talk to a lot of KC roofers. Most have 50+ reviews, a website that ranks, and trucks they've paid for twice. They're not short on demand. They're losing the demand they already paid for.

The leak shows up in three places. The call you didn't get to in time. The text that sat in someone's pocket. The FB message that was seen Tuesday morning.

This audit finds the leak. It costs you nothing. If you want my help fixing it after, that's a separate conversation.

The 5 Tests

Run them in order. Use your phone. Set a timer. Be honest.

01
Call your own line. After 5pm.
7pm Tonight

Tonight at 7pm, call the number on your truck. Don't hang up. Count rings. Note time-to-voicemail. Then listen to the voicemail you actually have. If it says "leave a message and we'll get back to you during business hours," that's a lead telling you no.

02
Text your business number. 8pm.
SMS Test

Text "need a quote on a hail repair" to your business line. Set a timer. Note when you get any response. Note what it says.

03
Message your Facebook page. 9pm Wednesday.
FB Messenger

Open Messenger on a friend's phone. Send your page "any availability for an estimate next week?" Time it.

04
Fill out your own contact form. 10pm.
Form Test

Use a fake name and a real number. Submit it. Note the auto-confirmation. Note when you actually hear from a human.

05
Search your reviews for "didn't answer."
Reviews

Desktop: open Google reviews, use Ctrl+F, search "didn't answer" and "couldn't reach." Mobile: open Google Maps, find your business, tap Reviews, scroll the last 50 and look for those phrases.

0 – 3 You're tight. You'd be the rare one. Skip the rest.
4 – 9 You have a leak. It's costing you. The fix is a weekend project.
10 – 17 You're losing real money every week. Bigger than your last marketing spend.
18 – 25 Stop reading. Pick up the phone. This is what's keeping you the same size.

The math.

If you want to put a dollar number on the leak, plug yours in below.

%
Estimated monthly leak $0
The leak compounds fast at your monthly volume. The shops that ignore it don't grow. The shops that fix it get to keep what they already earned.

What good looks like.

No fancy software required.

You don't need a stack. You need three things connected.

01
One inbox for everything.
Calls, texts, FB messages all going to the same place. One screen. No tab-switching, no missed channels.
02
An auto-reply that does work.
Not "we got your message." Example reply your shop should send: "Got it. I'll get you on the calendar tonight. Reply YES if next Tuesday at 10am works, or pick a time here: [your booking link]."
03
A human between 8 and 10pm.
One quick check between 8pm and 10pm. Even just to acknowledge. That's the entire fix. Most of it goes up in under 4 hours.
What's Next

If your score was 4 or higher, here's the order.

  1. Fix Test 1 first. The voicemail is a 10-minute job that recovers the most.
  2. Fix Test 3 next. Most KC roofers haven't touched their FB page settings in 2 years.
  3. Save Test 2 and Test 4 for the weekend. They take longer.

If you want me to walk through it with you, send me a message. I'm not going to pitch you a package. I'll just show you the wiring and you can decide.
